Hope that the new year brings a new beginning

I'm not going to lie to you; 2010 sucked at casa di Michelle. I was sick or sickly for the entire second half of the year, which greatly affected my ability to blog, socialize, and keep on top of my thesis responsibilities. The only thing I managed to actually stay on top of was my teaching, and that's only because I have to teach to get my paycheck. My doctoral program application got denied too, which I don't really want to talk about but I'm also not terribly torn up about it either. I have some ideas for potential new directions, and perhaps an exciting turn of events or two on the near horizon. :)

I am not, however, looking forward to starting the job search on Monday. Oy vey. I bought a pencil skirt yesterday that K believes will help me in interviews. I'm not sure what he means by that, exactly...

  1. I hope things will look up for you this year. Good luck with everything!

  2. I'm sorry the second half of 2010 went badly. Cheers to 2011 being much better, and good luck with the job search!

  3. Thanks, guys!
