I am notorious for starting blogs with great enthusiasm only to abandon them a few months later. I haven't blogged in almost two years, so we'll see how long this one lasts.
I've been reading student and faculty blogs for several years now, and sometimes I wonder if there is anything new left to cover in respect to academic life from either perspective. I kinda doubt it, which means I'm not doing a very good job of selling my blog to you, but oh well. Sometimes I like talking to the void. I talk to myself in the car all the time.
I'm Michelle, and as of this posting I just completed my first year in an ecophysiology graduate program. The blog title, if you were wondering, is the molecular formula for glucose. Glucose is important in physiology because it is a major reactant in cell metabolism, and metabolic rate is the cornerstone of my field.
I'll figure out what this is all about as I go along.
